I’ve finally found the time to re-design my portfolio site! Distie.com was the first full website I ever made, and although I was very proud of it at the time, it doesn’t function the way I really need it to anymore.
I’ve decided to design it using Wordpress, so I can write a little more about each project. I’m also hoping that I’ll be more likely to update this website with new content, but we’ll see how that goes.
Normally the front page on wordpress blogs shows a list of recent posts in all categories, but my site is organized differently. The front page is static, and in my navigation, I link to the two main categories: portfolio and news. The sidebar has some additional links, like sub-categories and tags, and maybe in the future it will include some other things.
I wanted to keep the design simple to feature my work instead of my website. It is similar to the old design, but updated a bit.
