Mother Knows Best is a Savannah-based maternity magazine. George Pantazis, Lindsey Williams, Theron Humphrey, and I collaborated as a group to develop a logotype, color palette, and stationery for the magazine.
The masthead we created is a logotype that is abstract and symbolic. The curved shape that surrounds the “o” in the word “Mother” represents feelings of protection, treasuring, and embracing. Instead of illustrating these words literally, we wanted to create a visual interpretation of it. The identity system continues the theme of the logotype, by using curved shapes that hug the edge of the paper.
